Nattalam Sivalayam


This is a Hindu worship place. It is the 12th temple of the popular Sivalaya Ottam. There are two temple here. First one is the Sankara Narayanar temple and at the back side of this temple you can see Arthanareeswarar temple. There is a beautiful pot in between these two temples. Maha Sivarathri, Panguni Ulsavam, Sithirai Pournami, Krishna Jayanthi and Prathosham are the important festivals in this temple.

Arthanareeswarar Temple

This is the main worship place of Sivarathri and Sivalaya Ottam. Thers is s statue of Shiva-Sakthi, the divine couple, in which right halve is Shiva and left halve is Shakthi. Maha Sivarathri, Prathosham and Sithirai Pournami are the divine festivals in this temple.  

Sankaranarayanar Temple

Here you will find a statue of Lord Vishnu and Siva. The right halve is Vishnu and the left halve is Shiva. It shows that Lord Shiva and Vishnu are not different, they are one.
